​To our loyal Dynamic Wedding clients,

Dynamic Weddings has a 20 year history of excellence of customer care in the Vancouver wedding industry.   The year 2020 was going to be an epic wedding year.  Clients were so excited to plan their wedding and now their hopes and dreams of a 2020 wedding is possibly lost.   Love does not end. Remember the vows you will recite: "for richer or poorer".  COVID-19 will NOT get in the way of love.  Celebrate your love today, tomorrow and forever. Your wedding will be celebrated even bigger and better once we overcome this challenge together.  I know some clients are reducing the size of their weddings to still be married this year.  That's wonderful as well.  Good for you for not letting the virus stop you.   

The majority of 2020 weddings have moved to 2021 but there are still some that having moved.  Please get in touch with us if you are still one of the 2020 weddings that haven't moved.  You may still be able to have your 2020 wedding but we'd like to review with you. 

This page will help answer some questions and give you some guidance.  Note, the virus situation has continually changed but I get the sense that we have a bit more answers now compared to a week or two ago.  Please check back here for updated information.  


If I move my wedding from 2020 to 2021.  When do I pay?: We know that this is a difficult time financially for you.  We want to help.  Since your wedding has been moved ahead to 2021 your payments will be delayed 6 months.   For example, if you have a payment due on April 10 your new payment date is October 10.  We will also be reviewing each clients pay schedule, amounts and dates  to determine the best payment dates.  Please don't pay before the new date as we need to stagger our payments to keep consistent income.    This will also help clients with reduced income at this time. 

I still currently have a 2020 wedding.  When do I pay?:   Please DON’T send any payments until we review your event together.   It's possible that many 2020 events will reschedule so your new payment schedule will also be delayed by 6 months.  If you haven't yet reviewed your 2020 payments with me, please reach out and email me directly to discuss.  We'll do our best to accommodate those special situations that require payments to be postponed. 


Am I legally allowed to have a wedding? The Government of BC has restricted public gatherings of 50 or more people.  This includes all service providers.  It's 50 people total.  Unfortunately, you will be unable to host any event with over 50 people total at this time.  Please read the government order here:

What if my wedding is less than 50 people? It is my belief that you are allowed to have weddings where there are a total of 50 people or less.  Many people are still having weddings. 
There was a very important and wedding specific answer from Dr. Bonnie Henry here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgnY9gn_OMM&feature=youtu.be&t=1454&fbclid=IwAR1b2QWPG6FoGqadvffLtyukn9MJg49uFbeOSqe6L4vFmrL4e-J50pgLx8Y and start at the 11 minute mark and ending at 14:30.  She's telling everyone to "think small".  We interpret her answer to say that weddings with 50 people or less would still be permitted. 

What are my options: There are many creative solutions such as having your ceremony this year and reception next year or just a smaller celebration this year.   Check our our home page for details on our elopement package.   It's an amazing package for a very affordable rate. 

Is Dynamic Weddings providing refunds?  We truly wish we could.  As a small business, this is our only source of income and we don't have the funds available to provide refunds.  Lots of work has been provided and dates have been reserved.  Our contract states that the refunds are non refundable.  We are being extremely flexible with other options. 

Is Dynamic Weddings allowing date transfers?  Yes, in most cases.  Although our agreement does not allow for date transfers, we are allowing date transfers if there is a specific government order (this is the current order) requiring you to reschedule your event due to COVID-19.  We will happily transfer your fees paid and services to a date that works for both of us.  Please ensure you check with us first before you commit to a date.  There is absolutely no fee when the date is moved due to a government order for date transfers, no extra charges and no increase cost for the higher 2021 rates and no premiums for peak dates.

Is Dynamic Weddings restricting dates: NO. We are not restricting dates.  Many vendors are restricting Saturdays, long weekends and even summer dates to keep those dates available for future bookings.  We're not.  If we are available, we'll gladly move the date. 

How far into the future can I rebook? We're allowing new dates until the end of 2021 so you have lots of time.  Many vendors are restricting until the spring of 2021 so you have the entire year to choose from.  

What dates would work best for Dynamic Weddings?  Thanks for asking.  We would really appreciate non peak dates such as winter, fall and even early spring.  Fridays and Sundays would also be great.  Again, we're not restricting dates but would appreciate booking into these times. 


How do I change the date? The first step is to check with your venue.  That is the key first place to check.  Ask them for several date options during different seasons and days (ie: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays).  Then list them in order of preference and send them to all of your vendors and ask them to get back to you with their availability.  

My venue is closed. What do I do? Yes, many venues are now reopening but some are still closed.  However, some have a skeleton crew and some have people working from home.  Others have designates so check their extended absence greeting on their phone or email to see who their designate is.  Still contact them and send an email so they will reply when they return. 

What if one of my other vendors is not available on my new date? Don't worry.  Dynamic Weddings can help.  We offer Photography, Videography, Photo Booth, DJ, Event Planning & Day of Coordination.  We'll be happy to offer you any of our services are reduced rates to help you out.  Just ask.  If you need a vendor for another service that we don't offer, ask and we might be able to recommend some.   

What does Dynamic Weddings need to officially move the date? You must sign a date transfer agreement with us to make it official.  The date is NOT confirmed until you sign the agreement.  As we anticipate many dates to change, we cannot guarantee the date until the agreement is signed.  Once you decide on a new date and we confirm we are available  let us know that you want to officially change the date and I'll prepare the document and send it to you right away. 

What if Dynamic Weddings is not available on my new date? As we are a large team there is a good chance we are available.  However, we do expect a lot of busy nights ahead of us.  The key is to get a least 3 dates from your venue and check with us first.  We would love to provide the agreed services to you so please do make sure you check with us first.  If we can't serve you on this date, we will still hold the monies previously paid as a credit to be used for any of our services until the end of 2021.   We offer Photography, Videography, Photo Booth, DJ, Event Planning & Day of Coordination.  The most popular is booking a photo session.  When a credit is held, the booking of the new service must be a current rates and cannot be combined with other offers. 

I am not having a wedding celebration anymore.  What can I use the credit for?   Any of the services we offer.  We offer Photography, Videography, Photo Booth, DJ, Event Planning & Day of Coordination.  The most popular is booking a photo session.  When a credit is held, the booking of the new service must be a current rates and cannot be combined with other offers. 

When does the credit end? End of 2021.

COVID-19 Zoom call: Love Isn't Cancelled by Dynamic Weddings
