Dynamic Weddings is recommended by many fantastic venues which we are honoured to serve at on a regular basis. We love Shaughnessy Restaurant for many reasons. Here are just a few:

• Located inside VanDusen Gardens with beautiful photo opportunities
• No need to travel to a different location for photos
• Amazing food. Yes, we mean amazing. They even print a menu for each of your guests
• Free parking and lots of it, even electric vehicle parking as well
• Fantastic management. Many venues change management often resulting in confusion. Carlie has been there for a long time and is so wonderful to work with
• Covered ceremony area. We love the covered area for ceremonies which has lots of natural light and greenery in the background. After the ceremony, it magically is transformed into the cocktail space
• Large foyer. I mean huge! Very large for all your guests to mingle. We put the signing table, photo booth and more in this space. 
• Bridal room. It's a functional space located right off of the foyer

Annie & Cory started their day with the first look on a beautiful sunny day, perfect for a wedding in Vancouver.  Their ceremony was in the Shaughnessy Restaurant covered area followed by cocktail hour and just enough time for a large group photo outside. They entered to much fanfare for the reception. Their food was spectacular. Check out the menu. Dynamic Weddings provided the following services:

Dennis was amazing! Originally we weren't going to hire a day of coordinator, but we are sooo happy that we did! Dennis was on top of everything, we did not have to lift a single finger, or talk to any of our other vendors, as Dennis was always 1 step ahead. Throughout the whole process, Dennis was always quick to respond to any questions we had, and no ask was ever too big. Having Dennis be a part of our day, allowed us to actually enjoy everything and be present with our guests and each other. Our photographer even commented that they had never worked with a day of coordinator, so on top of everything! Dennis was extremely thoughtful, and always ensured we had full drinks and food/snacks brought to us too! We 100% recommend Dennis and Dynamic Weddings for your big day, worth every penny! Irene & Alan's wedding at Shaughnessy Restaurant

Irene & Alan hired Dynamic Weddings for:

• Photographer
• DJ  
• Photo Booth.  

We started our photography service at Shaughnessy restaurant with photos just outside the restaurant.  Photos were taken of the bride and groom as well as with their wedding party. The ladies looked stunning with various shades of green. We managed to capture a few shots of the decor before quickly capturing the tea ceremony followed by the reception. As they had been previously married, there was no wedding ceremony.  The evening reception was a lovely dinner with speeches. We managed to go outside for a few sunset photos before ending with the cutting of the cake, Photo Booth and lots of dancing complete with fun performances. They were thrilled with everything and wrote a glowing 5 star review. ​

• The whole Dynamic Weddings team is amazing! Dennis is very detail oriented and always kept me and my husband on track. The follow up and communication is on point and Dennis made sure to finalize and understand every detail of our wedding to make it flow as smooth as possible. Russell our photographer was so personable! All the guests loved him and how he interacted and prompted the poses. We had so much fun with him and the poses he directed us to do looked great. I would love to have him as a photographer again! Our DJ Michael was very attentive to our guests needs and always checked in with the emcees if they needed anything and asked what was next on the agenda. His music mixes were great and the guests were fully engaged. Our photo booth attendant was also amazing and gave prompts to our guests and made sure they know where to look and also how many seconds before the next picture. I would recommend Dynamic Weddings and all their vendors 100% and give them 5/5 stars!!!

Herman & Chris wedding at Shaughnessy Restaurant

Herman and Cris had such a cute love story.  One was a doctor, the other his patient and now they are husbands. The entrusted Dynamic Weddings to provide the following services as part of our Diamond Elopement Package:

We set them up with one of our favourite venues, Shaughnessy Restaurant for the perfect all in one venue. There were several sprinkles of rain throughout the day so the covered ceremony space was perfect for them.  We were able to modify the timing to allow photos when ever the rain settled down or provided clear umbrellas for them when there was some showers. Overall, they loved all aspects of their day and were thrilled with the results.

Michelle & Kyle's wedding at Shaughnessy Restaurant

We loved loved loved this wedding. We especially love it when our clients take our lead and allow us to provide direction. They took our guidance and everything ran smoothly.

Dennis served as their Wedding Planner, Day of Coordinator and Officiant.  It flowed so smoothly as Dennis had been working with them since day one.  We started with a quick rehearsal before guests arrived. The day ended with a fun dance party by one of our Dynamic Weddings DJ's.  Thanks to photographer Steph Glas gow for the beautiful images. The team at Shaughnessy were so lovely.  The ceremony was in their covered area followed by a lovely cocktail hour. Before we knew it, dinner was ready to be served.

Dennis and Jennifer were awesome! After seeing him in action at a family wedding where there were some hiccups, we decided to hire Dennis as our planner / day of coordinator / officiant / DJ and we weren't disappointed. The planning hours were super valuable to come up with one document that everyone could refer to if there were questions on the day of with so many moving parts. On the day of our wedding Dennis did so much of us even little things like getting plate of all the appies for us to try at cocktail hour, and slowing things down and getting us to breathe during the ceremony while he was officiating. All of our guests remarked how well he spoke during the ceremony. Dennis also organized a junior DJ for us who was great! We didn't have any complex DJ need and we didn't care too much about mixing so the junior DJ worked awesome for us! Made the day go so smooth and was worth every penny!

Jessica & Mike

Jessica & Mike decided to get married at VanDusen Gardens. As you know, Shaughnessy Restaurant is inside the gardens. However, a ceremony in the gardens is subject to a booking fee with the city which they gladly paid as the loved the private space that was booked. It was spacious and many different locations in the area to choose from. As it was a very bright sunny day, we opted for an area with the most shade for the best images. This allowed us the flexibility to still enjoy the beautiful scenery and have a shaded area, especially for their 6 month old child. Afterwards, the guests were able to walk around the gardens before lunch at Shaughnessy Restaurant. This allowed us some time to capture beautiful images of the bride and groom around the gardens.  Since they had forgotten the marriage licence, Dennis was kind enough to meet them at the restaurant for the signing and the first dance.  They booked our Elopement package which included:

We hired Dennis at Dynamic Weddings for our small elopement in July. We were blown away with the service we received in all aspects. You can tell that Dennis loves what he does plus has the experience to help guide you in all avenues for your special day. We started off by looking for venues - this was a difficult task for us, but Dennis showed us numerous options based on our vision which made it much easier. Dennis was always very prompt in communications which was amazing. He worked with us before hand to go over a very detailed itinerary for the day of, and helped us plan for everything we needed. The day of our wedding, Dennis made sure everything went off without a hitch (even though we forgot our marriage license). He helped us all remain calm, and ended up working things around to get our marriage license signed a few hours later. We couldn't have done this without him! We can't recommend Dennis and Dynamic Weddings enough!
